During its 10th anniversary event, Xiaomi unveiled the world’s first mass-produced transparent TV, the Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition.
Based on its minimalistic design and flagship configuration, the epic 5.7mm 55 ”ultra-slim display features a self-illuminating design throughout. The TV looks like suspended images in the air and when turned off, the stand is just like a piece of transparent glass.
Renewing the way the TV is traditionally designed, the Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition contains all of its processing parts in a stand. The transparent OLED panel features a static contrast ratio of 150000: 1and an infinite dynamic contrast ratio, delivering richer blacks and unprecedented brightness. Leveraging support for 93% of the DCI-P3 color spectrum, the 10-bit panel displays 1.07 billion color combinations far beyond what the human eye can perceive. In addition, a 120Hz refresh rate and 120Hz MEMC technology ensure a fast 1ms response rate that delivers low latency, for smoother and clearer movement.
Using Xiaomi’s AI Master Smart Engine and MediaTek 9650 custom TV chip, the TV has more than 20 dedicated optimization and optimization algorithms for five main use scenarios to fine-tune graphics resolution in a way. Smart for vivid images. Dolby Atmos-enabled technology detects the type of content on the screen to select the right audio mode. Finally, the Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition runs on a customizable MIUI interface designed to control the TV’s built-in picture features.
Priced at ¥ 50,000 RMB ($ 7,195), Xiaomi’s Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition will officially release on August 16.
