There’s a new group of superheroes in town
In the final moments of season 2, it was revealed that the Hargreeves siblings traveled back to a 2019 they were not familiar with. In their new reality, Sir Reginald Hargreeves (Colm Feore) runs the Sparrow Academy – not the Umbrella Academy.
After losing Ben (Justin H. Min) ‘s ghost in one of the season’s most heartbreaking scenes, many fans were as shocked as Hargreeves found his portrait hanging on the fireplace where Fives used to live.
The more shocking thing was Sir Reginald and Ben seems to still live in this new space. It is not clear who else was part of the Sparrow Academy team, but fans noticed a mysterious green cube floating next to the shady figures standing above Ben.
Steve Blackman has big plans for Sparrow Academy in Season 3
Since any good host wouldn’t do it, Blackman started thinking about itUmbrella Academy Part 3 – “if we get one,” he told SyFy Wire.
“I also want to give [viewers] It’s not their house anymore. “In” The End of Something “, fans discovered that Umbrella Academy was no longer available. It was replaced by Sparrows Academy.
“There was a lot of detail in that scene,” Blackman continued. “We changed the symbols on the wall. I mean, everything is Sparrow in that house now. That is really important to us. ”
At this time, very little is known about Sparrows Academy. All we know is that Ben and the other five are part of the team, with the addition of a mysterious green block.
Steve Blackman tackles the green cube of Sparrow Academy
After watching the final episode of season 2, fans began to hypothesize what the green block meant for the Hargreeves siblings.
During an Ask-Me-Anything forum on Reddit, Blackman answered several fan questions regarding the season 2 finale. When a fan asked, “What’s up with the green block? determined?” Blackman’s response was very simple.

“His name is Christopher,” he wrote. Blackman said nothing more on the subject. But fans have a lot of their own thoughts.
Fans are starting to hypothesize about what – or who – the green block could be
A fan on Reddit came up with several theories that could explain the green block’s purpose. One theory is that it could be “a replacement for Grace [or] Pogo. ”
In season 1, both Grace and Pogo are killed when Vanya (Ellen Page) realizes her power’s potential.
After seeing how Umbrella Academy’s children have become, this fan believes that Lord Reginald has come up with a newer, more authoritative character for Sparrows Academy.
“After meeting Five, Reginald must definitely use more advanced technology to prepare special children,” explained the fans. “Reginald clearly dislikes how Umbrella Academy came to be and letting a stern AI cube become an authority figure in the lives of new kids seems like Reginald’s solution to what. he considered a failed timeline partner. “
This fan also believes the green cube could be “an interesting parallel to the Five.” In addition to the hypothesis that Mr. Reginald was dissatisfied with Umbrella Academy, he might have used advanced technology to create “better kids” or, in this case, a “better” Year.
The cube could be “technologically advanced [capable of predicting] Five’s jumps through space / time in combat, “wrote fans. Cuc[That] This creates an interesting obstacle to overcome – if Sparrow Academy becomes an enemy [in season 3]. “
Fans will have to wait quite a long time to find out what the green cube really means.
