Today, we watch an exciting new video showing the performance of the Tesla Full Self-Driving Beta from the sky in a new drone video with a frightening close-miss.

As we reported last week, Tesla has started rolling out the first version of its “Full Self-Drive” feature that can automatically navigate both city roads and highways.

However, the feature is in beta and it’s not really “Full Self-Drive” (FSD) as it requires the driver to be ready to take over and repair the system when needed.

Only a handful of owners now have access to the beta software in the “early access program,” but Tesla has allowed them to share videos of their experiences.

Now he’s back with an interesting video featuring a continuous shot of his Model 3 drone while testing a full Self-Drive Beta:

As you can see, the video starts off with a very frightening near-miss scene where the Model 3 seems to want to crash into a parked car.

Due to the corner of the parked car, it almost looks like the FSD wants to follow the car, but it is clearly parked and it looks like it’s about to brake without Brandon intervention.

It’s a helpful reminder that this “Fully Self-Drive Beta” isn’t really self-driving, as it actually requires the driver to oversee the system and be ready to take over.

FSD beta had a few other glitches during the 8-minute test, but it worked fine on some tasks as well.

Obviously, navigating in a 3D world with the freedom to move up and down is completely different from traveling on a 2D surface with traffic rules, but still impressive to see how easy drones are to avoid. trees and power lines.
