A teaser that reveals the title of Kamal Haasan’s upcoming movie was released on Saturday. The film will be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, titled Vikram.

The teaser opens with a scene of Kamal Haasan in a kitchen. He’s cooking a sumptuous dish. Meanwhile, he is also reloading enough to take down a small army. Then, the guests entered, wearing masks to break bread with Kamal. Only, they didn’t know what he was hiding under the table.

Lokesh Kanagaraj takes the title from Kamal’s 1986 work of the same name. Presumably, this movie is part of a side story featuring agent RAW, who prevented a missile attack more than 25 years ago.

The filmmakers previously revealed that the crew followed all COVID-19 safety guidelines while making the teaser.

Kamal Haasan is expected to shoot Vikram this month.

Vikram is a leap forward for director Lokesh Kanagaraj. He made an impressive directorial debut with Maanagaram in 2017. Last year, he directed Kaithi with Karthi, and it also became a huge hit with audiences and critics alike. And for the third movie, Master, he managed to have Vijay play the lead. The big budget film, which was supposed to be released earlier this year, was halted due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The project will be sponsored by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International production banner. It is said that famous Bigg Boss Tharshan will play an important role in this movie.

Vikram will be shot in and around Chennai. And the filmmakers are aiming to release it next summer.
