Domestic tourists have returned to Wuhan in recent months as China says it has gone a corner in its fight against the virus. The Daily Mail reported that there were only 47 new cases nationwide on Thursday.

The coronavirus virus, which caused the devastating pandemic, is believed to have originated in an animal market living in Wuhan, a city of more than 11 million people.

The virus is hitting Europe for the second time since the pandemic started last spring, with France and Germany introducing new restrictions to stop the spread.
