TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT / KSVT) – A woman with an arrest warrant was discovered by officers in Jerome on Tuesday and chased by police.
At first, the police recognized the woman because of the wanted order and tried to stop the car. Jerome Police Department Chief Dan Hall said the woman was unable to stop, then led the chasing policemen out of town onto Golf Course Road. She then led officers down to US Highway 93, just north of the Perrine Bridge, where she turned into a block.
After stopping, three law enforcement vehicles stopped her. After that, she continued to return to an officer̵7;s car.
The woman was arrested and later identified as Candace Wright, 34, in Twin Falls. Wright has two outstanding subpoenas, one misdemeanor in Jerome County and one felony out of Twin Falls County.
Wright was also charged with trying to evade a police officer and was charged with damaging property. Wright is currently housed in the Jerome County Prison.
The Jerome County Sheriff’s Office also provided assistance.
Wright’s next trial will take place on November 11.
