Part 2 of Umbrella Academy puts the Hargreeves children – again – against an imminent apocalypse. The second season includes surprising, but inevitable, moments that lead to quite the thrill of a finale.
[Spoiler warning for season 2 of ‘The Umbrella Academy’]
The last part of Part 2 covers quite a few twists and turns regarding Papa Hargreeves
At the end of the second season, Reginald Hargreeves wears a mask – in one Mission Impossible– Beautiful fashion – revealing an alien, wet hair style and amphibian-like. In other words, it is clear Sir Reginald Hargreeves is not a human being. Is he from another planet? If so, which one?
Is Reginald Hargreeves working independently or has he been sent from outer space on a mission to gather data and assemble a team of heroes for an ulterior motive of altruism and the conservation of humanity?

Robert Sheehan does not hesitate to claim that Reginald Hargreeves is an alien. He say:
Of course he is. I don’t think they’ll take that literally with space. But I said “Yeah, baby!” Now that we have a good audience, let’s camp, let’s take a look at a little graphic novel.
The cast also explained what they thought of their plans for season 3, especially concerned about this surprising turning point. David Castañeda, who plays Diego, explains that he believes season 3 will “dive into” Reginald and shine a little.
Aidan Gallagher (no. 5) explains that the show will probably keep more secret than they reveal, giving little hints and “easter eggs” without ever giving the full picture, It looks like a move that the writers behind the show will make.
Gallagher explained that there would be enough for fans to embrace, but not so much for the character’s entire motive and rationale to come to light. In short, part 3 may pose more Reginald-related questions than answers, as Gallagher explains.
