HOUSTON – The key of the last Blockbuster in the world is being handed over.
The last Blockbuster store, located in Bend, Oregon, will soon be available for overnight reservations on Airbnb, the vacation rental company announced Tuesday.
Starting August 17, some lucky movie lovers living in the Bend, Oregon area will be able to book one of the three one-night stays available for up to four for just $ 4 per night, according to listings of Airbnb.
“Over the past few months, we have missed regular visits from friends, neighbors and tourists from all over the world. So we are opening our stores to the three secluded Deschutes County to watch a movie night away from society, just like decades ago, ”the list says.
The specific area restriction is due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Sandi Harding, host of Airbnb.
The blockbuster will host up to three groups to quarantine Deschutes County guests for a film night away from society September 18-20.
After the last guests check out, Blockbuster will welcome customers back to view the living room space for a limited time in the store.
