Microsoft confirmed this week that any non-Kinect titles that work on Xbox One will run on Xbox Series X and Series S when those consoles appear.
Meanwhile, Ubisoft said Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Immortals Fenyx Rising, Riders Republic and Hyper Scape has full cross-process support. When you play one of those games on one platform, you’ll be able to pick up where you left off on the other. That should be helpful for Ubisoft + subscribers.
Several backwards compatible titles will support cross-work between the same console: PS4 and PS5, Xbox One and Series X / S. For honor (being graphically enhanced on the new console), 2nd Division, The Crew 2, Just Dance 2021 and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake.
Watch Dogs: Legion and Rainbow Six: Siege also supports cross-generational development. Those two games also qualify for the next generation upgrade for free, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Immortals Fenyx Rising and Riders Republic. Besides, Rainbow Six: Siege and For honor Cross play support between console generations.
