After five days of counting votes, former vice president Joe Biden was declared the winner of the 2020 presidential election. The scalable nature of the number makes some networks difficult to program.
In particular, NBC had to decide if it would disrupt Saturday’s highly-anticipated match between No. 1 Clemson and No.4 Notre Dame because of Biden’s winning speech. Like other networks, NBC chose Biden and decided to broadcast the game on its sister USA Network while the president-elect spoke. ABC made a similar decision to Stanford-Oregon.
NBC made it clear what this was going to happen, announcing they would make the switch ahead of time and announcer Mike Tirico repeatedly warned viewers throughout the match.
That still hasn̵7;t stopped some very angry college football fans from missing out on a piece of the game.
When Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris took the stage, fans took to Twitter to scream at NBC for his decision. You can see some examples below, but believe us, this is not the level of the internet.
You can check out some NBC mentions for yourself, but get ready for some graphics languages.

NBC has left Clemson-Notre Dame to show Biden / Harris speeches. Will be a stock at Best Buys in South Carolina tomorrow who need a new TV.

It’s easy to underestimate these people for their inability to change channels, though it’s worth noting that the US Network is not an option for antenna viewers.
And few even thought that poor US Network viewers missed a large portion of “Guardians of the Galaxy 2”.
Four people watching Guardians of the Galaxy 2 in the USA were just wondering who the new guy to play as Drax is.
