Word of the day: Internecine.
THE HAIL MARY WORKED? When we all woke up yesterday, all the signs were that the Big Ten canceled the soccer season in hopes of playing in the spring.
Afterward, most people directly affected by a potential cancellation got furious and openly expressed that anger.
And the conference leadership seems to be listening.
Update: start to feel more delayed than cancel at both B1G and P12. https://t.co/Lf8P6C1emM

Do not expect any news tonight from # B1G, according to sources. Many sources added morning meetings. During all the years I joined the Big Ten, I can’t remember a day when the tournament seemed more divided (president and coach). Surely one can see presidents choose to resist the postponement altogether

To be honest, when I saw #WeWantToPlay Tweets coming from the players, messages from parents and statements and interviews from the coaches, I really didn’t think it would do much.
Obviously I went wrong a lot – in this case it was an interesting change. We may not have finished a college football season yet, but at least it looks more likely we’ll try it out in a few weeks.
All of this was triggered by the fact that the Big Ten was about to cancel its season. More than 24 hours after the first reports were released from ESPN, Yahoo Sports and SI on potential Big Ten plans, the conference has yet to make an announcement and is currently underway in an internal conflict. take place on Monday. From senior politicians to tournament coaches, many have voiced strong support for the 2020 season, some of them specifically targeting the Big Ten and commissioner Kevin Warren.
“Kevin had more backlash today than he thought,” said an industry source. “It may not change their position, but at least it slows down the train. It may still end up in the same destination, but this has slowed them down.
If the Big Ten decides not to cancel tomorrow’s fall, I would consider that a complete encounter by Hail Mary to cut into the late lead role of The Very Bad Virus.
Now, we’ll need a kick …
PERSONAL LEADERSHIP. Leading a team of #teens and young people in one of the most unique periods in modern human history cannot be easy, but judging by all accounts, it seems Jonathon Cooper was born to do just that. this.

I would feel bad for every player if the season was canceled, but Cooper would be at the top of that heartbreaking list if he didn’t have his last trip. That guy worked too hard for this.
There will be creativity. There is some wild speculation that if the Big Ten cancels its season, the State of Ohio might try other ways to play some style of a season on its own.
Damn we even got the current players and assistant coach openly calling the team to join the SEC if things go south (pun is purely intentional).
I joined !! Dial it up. https://t.co/8dySKqv5yY

It sounds crazy – and it could be! – but based on Ryan Day’s comments to ESPN yesterday, perhaps it wasn’t entirely out of the question?
We need to consider every option. If that’s the only option at the time, we need to explore it, see if that’s something we can do about it. Because if that’s the case, and that’s what’s best for our children, then we need to look at it and do it.

If push comes to shove, it looks like Buckeyes won’t be the only school. Scott Frost said he thinks Nebraska will look for options other than the Big Ten if the conference cancels its season.
Buckle up, the next few weeks will be bad.

DON’T DAMAGE TO SPORTS. A thirty-year-old corpse discovered in the vault of a € 35 million Paris mansion … tragic physics of a deadly explosion in Beirut … A Meth user gouged out his eyeballs prosthetics … National Park Service advises not to push your friend down in the event of a bear attack … Texas farmers struggle with the idea that hemp can save them , but the crop hasn’t delivered yet … When the beetle crawls up the food chain … The story behind the Eiffel Tower’s forgotten competitor … The sound of your car door “crashing” is really fake. ..
