Seahawks are dropping a tight end off the list.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the team will release Luke Willson.
Willson was selected by Seattle in the fifth round of 2013 and returned to the team in 2019 after playing against the Lions and Raiders. He has appeared in five games with the team this season, but played only 10 strikes and 31 special catches in those matches.
Willson failed to catch a single pass, but was noted for three tackles and an awkward rebound. He has 110 catches within 1,295 yards and 11 touches of the ball.
Seahawks triggered picking Colby Parkinson in the fourth round from the non-football injury list ahead of Sunday’s win over 49ers. Greg Olsen, Will Dissly and Jacob Hollister were eliminated from the group.
