Judging from everything we’ve heard up until now, Samsung Galaxy S21 will launch sooner than usual, likely aimed at stealing the iPhone 12’s thunder.
And the latest leak gives us a much clearer picture of when the phone will launch. And that means we should have the Galaxy S21 on hand before January ends.
The news comes from a strange source, as analyst Jon Prosser is most commonly known for his Apple predictions. But this time he has news about Samsung to share and that’s how we know when the Galaxy S21 could launch.
Samsung Galaxy S21, S21 +, S21 Ultra 👀Notification: January 14, 2021 Pre-ordered: January 14, 2021 Released: January 29, 2021 Black, White, Gray, Silver, Purple and Pink November 3, 2020
The original Galaxy S20 was announced on February 11, 2020, slightly earlier than the previous year and released on March 6. This time Samsung is said to have pushed the release date closer to a month and is expected ants will release. the phone was five weeks earlier than last year.
The tweet also notes what color the Galaxy S21 will come in, which doesn’t seem too different from the S10 range. Unfortunately, it doesn’t keep the vibrant colors of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, but it does seem to have a lot of variety. Options include black, white, gray, silver, purple, and pink.
That said, it’s still unclear what models will be available in these colors, and we shouldn’t expect the entire Galaxy S21 range to come in all six colors.
We have heard that Samsung has been trying to release early for a while and we have also seen news that the company has begun to produce the above part. S21 Ultra, a month and a half earlier than usual.
While initial reports claim the Galaxy S21 could launch as soon as December, everything we’ve heard since then tells us that Samsung is moving the traditional February launch deadline to month. 1. And now we know exactly when, Prosser’s release has been proved correct.
Apple upgrade, Huawei hammer
As to why Samsung will launch in January, we have heard different reasons. The first is that Samsung hopes to fill the void left by Huawei, which cannot provide Google Play support thanks to sanctions from the US government. However, we’ve also heard that Samsung has delayed the launch due to the late launch of the iPhone 12.
The idea is to try to overtake Apple by releasing a new flagship just a few months after Cupertino, whether that works or not remains to be seen.
So far, we have also heard a few information about the standard Galaxy S21 and S21 Ultra, but nothing about a viable S21 Plus at the moment. We’ve also heard of a new pair of Galaxy Buds, called “Buds Beyond”, but there’s nothing else about them at the moment.
According to rumors and leaks, the Galaxy S21 is set to come with a 6.3-inch full-screen display, with 2.5D glass and three rear camera lenses. We know a little more about the Galaxy S21 Ultra, with leaks telling us it will have a 6.8-inch display, a 5,000 mAh battery, a 40MP front camera and five rear cameras with a 108MP primary lens and two telephoto lenses. (3x and 10x). Everything we’ve seen also shows that the Ultra will have clearer ‘Edge’ display curves, instead of the more subtle curves of the 2.5D glass.
Without a doubt we’ll hear more in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for more information on the Samsung Galaxy S21.
