After a very difficult 48 hours after a traffic accident, Richard LeCounte Safety in Georgia delivered a positive update, as he tweeted “All is fine”.

Georgia coach Kirby Smart told reporters LeCounte had been transferred from ICU to a normal hospital room.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family,” Smart said. “He has great parents and we got in touch with them. They have come up here, have been able to be with him all this time.
“We all hope and expect complete recovery.”;
Smart added that his teammates were able to LeCounte and give him words of encouragement.
“It really hurt my heart,” attack manager Jamaree Salyer said of the news. “I know Richard loves his team. He loves football. He likes to be a leader. I know it hurts him to be in this position and not out there with his guys ”.

According to an Athens Clarke-County police report, LeCounte was riding a Yamaha off-road bike when he crashed into a car turning left into a gas station.
According to a follow-up report, the off-road bike LeCounte was using was unregistered and had no brake lights or turn signals. LeCounte made contact with the first car and then he was thrown into the place where he was hit by the second car. Police estimated the crash to occur at 6:49 pm, after sunset on Saturday. LeCounte did not respond when police arrived at the scene.
LeCounte suffered concussions, shoulder injuries, some ribs bruising and some scratches and bruises. Smart knocked LeCounte out of their game against Florida this Saturday.
After a game where he had 13 tackles, 3 failed passes and one clumsy recovery, LeCounte was named SEC’s Player of the Week for his performance against Kentucky. When LeCounte can’t go, find Bulldogs to accompany Christopher Smith juniors on the spot.
