Reviews for Marvel’s “Spider-Man: Miles Morales”, the upcoming side game of PS4’s “Marvel’s Spider-Man”, is also one of the launch titles for the PlayStation 5 next week.
On Metacritic, the game has collected 85/100 from 58 reviews with no cards rated negative (and only very few mix cards). More and more games focused on the game praising it the most, while newspapers and entertainment blogs in general are slightly less impressive.
That number is only two points behind the 87/100 that the original game scored and became one of the most popular titles on the PS4 platform. Check shop sampling, almost uniform game for points 8 and 9 out of 10.
Compared to other titles from this year, it lags behind obvious GOTY contenders like “The Last of Us Part II” and “Half-Life Alyx” (93/100); “Microsoft Flight Simulator”, “Crusader Kings III” and “Spelunky 2” (91/100); “Animal Crossing: New Horizons” (90/100); “Ori and the Will of the Wisps,” “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2” and “Doom Eternal” (88/100); and the “Final Fantasy VII” Remake (87/100).
However, it’s on par with movies like “Ghost of Tsushima”, “Yakuza: Like a Dragon”, “Wasteland 3”, “Huntdown”, “Nioh 2”, “Desperados III” and “Streets of Rage 4”. all in the mid-80s range.
The reviews confirm the game boasts two modes – Quality (4K + 30FPS + RayTracing & Extra FX) and Performance (4K + 60FPS + No RayTracing & Extra FX) – although some reviewers did. begged them to provide a third mode that would reduce the resolution but allow to maintain both high frame rate and ray tracing (1080p + 60FPS + RayTracing & Extra FX).
