AIIMS director and member of the National Task Force for Coronavirus management in India, Dr. Randeep Guleria has said that ordinary people will have to wait until 2022 to be vaccinated with Covid. He said it would take “more than a year” for the Coronavirus vaccine to be readily available on the Indian market.
Randeep Guleria said in an interview with CNN-News 18: “In our country, the population is large; We need time to see how we can buy this vaccine from the market like flu vaccine and take it away. That would really be the ideal situation. “
When asked about the challenges India will face after the Coronavirus vaccine is available, Guleria said the primary focus will be on distributing and ensuring that the vaccine reaches every part of the country. . “Maintaining a cold chain, having enough syringes and needles in full and being able to seamlessly deliver it to the remotest parts of the country is the biggest challenge,”; he said.
The second challenge, Dr. Randeep Guleria said, will be finding the location of another vaccine that was released later and considered more effective than the first.
“So if we have a later and more effective vaccine than the first, how do we locate it? How do we fix the course? How do I decide who needs vaccine A and who needs vaccine B? The AIIMS director says many decisions are needed as we go.
Furthermore, he made a surprising revelation. He confirmed that Coronavirus infection “will not go away” with vaccination.
Meanwhile, India informed a number of countries that it would use its capabilities in vaccine production and distribution to help mankind fight the Covid crisis.
Foreign Minister Harsh Vardhan Shringla delivered a message about this effect in a briefing held to more than 190 heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations and their representatives.
