When it comes to the early days of the FPS genre, there’s really no substitute for the original Quake trilogy. Quake 3 will be available for free on August 17th, starting at 9am PT / 12pm ET, so if you love some classic coincidence, you should check it out. . There̵7;s no word about Quake 4, though it’s actually best forgotten.
Quake 1 was released for free on August 7, so sorry if you missed it out. It will get you running $ 5 on Steam, but it’s usually sold for a much cheaper price.
