A new month has started, which means a new Max Raid event is currently underway in Pokemon Sword and Shield. This month, a handful of Bug and Poison-type Pokemon will appear more frequently in Max Raid Battles, including both rare forms of Gigantamax.
Until November 30, Sword and Shield players will have a better chance of encountering the following Pokemon (and their pre-evolved forms) in Max Raid densities across the Wild Area, Isle of Armor, and Newly added Crown Tundra:
- No butter
In addition, Gigantamax Butterfree and Gigantamax Garbodor will also appear more frequently in Max Raid regions throughout the month. The Gigantamax Pokemon are often extremely hard to find apart from events like these (although you can teach certain Pokemon how to Gigantamax in the Isle of Armor if you have an Expansion Card), so you won̵7;t want to miss out. Assembly them if you haven’t already.
To refresh your Raid zones with new Event Pokemon, you’ll first need to be connected to the Internet. You can do so by connecting Y-Comm online or by going to the Mystery Gift option and selecting Get news about the wilderness.
In other Pokemon news, Sword and Shield players still have time to request a free Pikachu. To commemorate the recent release of the Crown Tundra expansion, The Pokemon Company will be giving away eight free Pikachu via the Mystery Gift password. Each of these Pokemon wears one of the many different hats Ash Ketchum wore throughout the Pokemon anime.
The aforementioned Crown Tundra expansion pack has now been released and takes players to a new arctic region where they will be sent on an expedition to investigate many of the Legendary Pokemon, including Calyrex and its loyal steed. ; Galarian Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres; and Regidrago and Regieleki. The DLC also introduces a new partnership mode called Dynamax Adventures, where players will be able to team up and capture Legendary Pokemon back.
