A Hunterdon County man was arrested for pretending to be someone else in a mailed ballot, authorities said on Saturday.
Brian C. Shilling, 53, of Stockton, “incorrectly completed the ballot, forged the signature of someone else confirming the ballot and sent it fraudulently to the Hunterdon County Elections Council with the intent that it is removed by another, “Acting Hunterdon County Prosecutor Michael J. Williams told Director of Detective Frank R. Crisologo.
Shilling was arrested on November 5 and charged with third-degree fraud in mail-voting, falsifying a level three public profile, falsifying a level four with authorities, falsifying level records. fourth degree and disorderly offenses, provide a false affidavit to file.
