NBA fans begged the Chicago Bulls to hire a former NBA point guard and coach just minutes after the team announced that they had relinquished Jim Boylen’s head coach duties after almost two years.
The Bulls hired Boylen as head coach in December 2018 but after missing the knockout stages for two consecutive seasons, the team decided to go in a different direction.

“After a thorough evaluation and a worthy time in the process, I finally decided that a new approach and evolution in leadership were needed,” said Bulls Basketball Operations President Arturas Karnisovas said in a statement. “This is a very difficult decision, but it̵7;s time for our franchise to take the next step as we move into a new direction and era of Chicago Bulls basketball. Jim is a wonderful person who deeply cares about this organization and basketball game. I want to thank him for his professionalism and commitment to the franchise ”.
There are several former NBA coaches entering the market, but fans have called on Chicago to call ESPN’s NBA analyst and former Golden State Warriors coach Mark Jackson.

Jackson has been out of coaching since 2014. He was let go of by the Warriors after passing 51-31 with them. The Warriors will eventually hire Steve Kerr, breaking the record for the most number of wins in a season and winning three championships.
He’s still a hot item among freelance coaches, despite the analytics deal very well with him. Jackson’s colleague Jeff Van Gundy has also been rumored for gigs Brooklyn Nets.
Jackson told reporters in July that he would want to be one more time in coaching.
