The 2020 General Election is about to take place and with a record number of voters turnout nationwide, this promises to be a historic election.
President Donald Trump is fighting for re-election against former Vice President Joe Biden, but the balance of power in the US Senate is also disputed. In Michigan, the race between incumbent Democratic Senator Gary Peters and Republican John James will influence that balance.
Today̵7;s election will also determine whether Democrats can take control of the State, as well as the structure of the Supreme Court of Michigan.
Polls are currently open statewide and will close at 8pm. MLive.com will have live results for all Federal and state elections, as well as local elections throughout the state. Links to local races can be found at the end of this story.
