Louisville police Jonathan Mattingly sued Kenneth Walker, boyfriend of Breonna Taylor, for allegedly assault



A Louisville police sergeant filed a lawsuit on Thursday against Breonna Taylor’s boyfriend, accusing him of assault, battery use, and intentional emotional distress. Jonathan Mattingly was one of the officers involved in the execution of the midnight air raid order at Taylor’s apartment on the night of March 13. Taylor was shot six times and killed in the raid. Her boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, shot a shot when policemen entered the apartment and hit Mattingly in the thigh, and police said the wound required 5 hours of surgery. Blindfolded Walker accused Walker of being fired upon learning he was a police officer and that he blamed Walker for Taylor̵

7;s death in previous interviews. Walker blamed Mattingly for that. Walker himself has filed lawsuits against several Louisville police officers, Commonwealth Attorney Tom Wine, and Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron. Walker’s attorney said in advance of Mattingly’s lawsuit that Walker “was not subject to criminal prosecution and civil liability because he was defending himself in his own home.”
