The Oregon National Guard was activated in Portland, Ore., On Wednesday night in response to the widespread violence in the city, authorities said.
Portland police declared a riot as waves devastated the city as residents smashed windows in front of the stores of local businesses in the downtown area. At least 11 rioters were arrested.
Videos shared on social media of New York City protests show police and activists fighting off. NYPD announced about 50 arrests related to the protests. The police confiscated several weapons, including knives, stun guns and explosives.
Meanwhile, President Trump’s supporters gathered at the Maricopa County Recording Office, located outside of Phoenix, where some protesters shouted: “Count those votes!”;
The sheriff’s representatives are guarding both outside the building and tallying the inside, the report said. Some of the protesters carried assault rifles.
In Minneapolis, police shuttered traffic on Interstate 94 after protesters marched on the highway.
