Developers are hoping to create a “Lake Geauga District”
BAINBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKBN) – New plans were announced on Monday for the land that was once home to Lake Geauga Park and Sea World.
Area developer Industrial Commercial Properties purchased the 377-acre estate in Bainbridge Town. The deal was finalized on Friday.
Developers are hoping to create a “Lake Geauga District.”; ICP plans to act as the main developer of the site, including installing elements reminiscent of the original theme park that dates back to 1887.
Menard’s is a business to keep an eye on the website, the owner said. The major house renovation chain bought land on the street 43 frontage. That sale happened at the same time as a larger land purchase occurred.
Other retail locations are planned for the area along with restaurants, entertainment areas and an office residential area near the lake.
Multi-family sites and organizations are also part of the broader plan.
