BAKERSFIELD, California (KGET) – The Kern County Department of Public Health reported 957 new COVID-19 cases this morning.
This brings the county’s total to 23,593 cases and 171 deaths. The ministry is reporting that 7,171 people have recovered from the virus, 15,996 people have been isolated at home and 245 people have been isolated in hospitals. The KCPH said 116,160 tests were negative and 653 were pending.
There are 14,841 cases among people 18 to 49 years old. People between the ages of 50 and 64 represent 4,098 cases while there are 1,962 cases among people 65 and older, according to the ministry. There are 2,652 children that test positive for the virus.
COVID-19 cases may not be reported due to technical problems with the California Department of Public Health, California’s Department of Reportable Disease Information Exchange.
