Titans have slashed three players this week, including a pair of veterans they’ve signed to bolster their defense this season.
Vic Beasley has been put on in a one-year, $ 9.5 million deal in the hopes that he will provide some spark for the team’s pass speed. He had three tackles and one was mandatory in five games, but was never fired and was not credited with a midfield strike.
“Not every decision we make has been successful,” says Robinson, via the group’s website. “We spent a lot of time working with him, trying to get him going. And at the end of the day we felt it was best we should go in a different direction and knock him out of the team. It was frustrating for me because it failed. At the end of the day, I found that it had failed. But we made the decision we made and we are moving on. . . . At the end of the day, blame me. I have to do a better job there through the process ”.
Titans have only seven teams this season, so Beasley is not the only player to have failed on that front.
Wing-back Johnathan Joseph was also launched. Robinson said the team “wanted to look at some of the younger boys” and they also swapped for winger Desmond King earlier this week.
