Steve Carell is one of the funniest comedians of our time. The perfect balance between human and absurdity makes him not only hilarious but lovable as well. Perhaps his funniest character to date is none other than Michael Scott in Office. Carell’s portrayal of Michael and his antics is hilarious to watch from the comfort of one’s living room, but can you imagine the act of facing him in a real-life scene? It will be difficult to overcome with a straight face. At least, John Krasinski thought so.
According to Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey, Kransinski had a particularly hard time getting through Season 2, Episode 13, “The Secret”.
“The Secret” takes place shortly after Michael learns that Jim has feelings for Pam. The episode revolves around Jim trying to stop Michael from telling anyone about their conversation.
Meanwhile, Oscar complains sick on the day staff are scheduled to clean up in the spring. Of course, Dwight doesn’t believe that Oscar is really sick. So Michael allowed him to investigate.

At the end of the day, Michael revealed about Jim’s feelings for Pam. So Jim talked to her and told her the truth before anyone else could go ahead. But he said he has a crush on her for a long time, not now. However, shortly after their conversation, Michael told Pam that Jim was still proactively loving her.
The episode involves a lot of Jim / Michael’s quality time, as Michael thinks that Jim’s letting him into a secret made them the best friendship.
John Krasinski couldn’t get past his scenes with Steve Carell
The scene in the break room with Stanley made Krasinski difficult to stop laughing.
“In that scene, John couldn’t help laughing. He can Not Don’t laugh anymore, ”said Fischer during an episode of Podcasts for office women. “This whole episode John had to do a lot of scenes with Steve and he really lost. This is one of those scenes ”.
“John, when he lost it, his whole body collapsed. He just became a noodle, ”added Kinsey.

A few scenes later, Michael visits Jim at his desk to invite him out for lunch (Hooters). He put his foot on Jim’s desk when he asked and Krasinski found the act particularly funny.
“John lost it. I was there that day filming. John couldn’t stop laughing, ”Fischer said. “And another part, the table is too high and Steve has not been able to easily set foot on it, but he is very dedicated to little by little. That’s what he just came up with, and it made John laugh so he kept on doing. ”
At the end of the episode, when Michael is apologizing to Jim, Krasinski broke the crowd.
“John’s performance in this scene – he’s too quiet and it’s just a mixture of pity and disappointment. He’s making use of it all. But the truth is John couldn’t stop laughing. Again, ”said Fischer. “John can’t handle it. He couldn’t handle it ”.
