Packers placed AJ Dillon on the COVID-19 reserve list on Monday. He played 10 attacking and 7 special catches in Sunday’s defeat to Vikings.
The team added Jamaal Williams and winger Kamal Martin to Monday’s injury report because of “no injury involved.” Contact tracking identifies Williams and Martin as “closely related people,” ESPN’s Rob Demovsky reports. The federation is assessing whether the two players are at high risk of contact with each other.
Federation protocols will ban Williams and Martin from playing Thursday night against the 49ers if they are deemed “high risk”.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur told Demovsky: “One thing about our meeting rooms and our staff has done a great job making sure we are not within those 6 feet of each other and they are I am apart ”. “We’ll see what the reports say once they’ve all completed all the research the federation has to do. But we feel confident that we handled everything the best we could. “
Packers are allowed to practice walking and physically distant meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday before departing for California. After all, they don’t usually do a full-scale training session in a short week.
“We have to take into account everything we’re doing about making sure we’re always as safe as possible, individually, but we’ll be able to have most of our meetings – we can there will be a few meetings where we will get some people to join – but for the most part we’re just in business, not quite as usual but almost possible, ”says LaFleur.
