I bought an exercise bike that could serve as a desk, and it changed the way I work from home.

Working from home is not new to me, so I don’t expect the lifestyle changes that accompany the COVID-19 pandemic to affect my life much. I’ve gotten used to doing a variety of tasks throughout the day – exercising among clients or carrying loads of laundry on the way to prepare lunch. So I think spending more time at home will be a chance to get back in great shape. Without going to school or outside meetings, I should have enough time to exercise twice a day, right? Dude, I was wrong.

I bought an exercise bike that could serve as a desk, and it changed the way I work from home.

Homework has been built into my routine. Instead of going to and from the gym, I always use that extra time to get physically active at home. But even as part of my routine didn’t change, I started noticing a difference in my body about a month after the pandemic. Not available actually Finding time to exercise more with everyone at home all the time, I realized that I was sedentary, and it was starting to be harmful.

Since that point, I’ve tried my best to move as much as I can, but it wasn’t until I found the Flexispot Height-Adjustable Desktop Bike ($ 260, originally $ 400), I just begin to love yourself. I initially saw the bike on TikTok – where one was already enthralled about it – and although it’s a bit more than I wanted to spend, I decided to give it a try. I was amazed at how it helped.

In-house producer Celia Skvaril chatted with Dr. Sanda Lee, aka Dr. Pimple Popper, to get her professional advice on how to make pimples at home. Although Lee doesn’t recommend squeezing pimples on their own, it is a habit that many people find difficult to break. With much of the world at home, people don’t see their dermatologists and estheticians as often and may be fighting off higher-than-usual skin care needs. Lee gave her advice on the best way to minimize the risk of further scarring and infection when picking out pimples, such as trying to squeeze only superficial whiteheads and properly disinfect pimples and tools both before and after molding. On Lee’s advice, Celia tried to peel whiteheads at home. For more information from Dr. Pimple Popper go to: https://slmdskincare.com/ https://www.instagram.com/drpimplepopper/

What I love most about this device is its versatility. Unlike other stationary exercise equipment, it’s lightweight and adjustable. Whether I want to cycle while writing an article or step off the pedal and use the bike as a standing pad, the Flexispot is just right for me. I can adjust the up and down angle of my desk if I’m reading or move it closer to me if I’m replying to email for work. It’s also built on wheels, making it easy to navigate indoors. I even took it outdoors while my son was “taking a break”, so I can stay active, work and keep an eye on it.

Like most stationary bikes, you can also adjust the resistance. It offers eight levels to choose from, so I can use it for light exercise or swing it up to burn more calories. It’s also compact, so I stealthily put it in the corner of my office without taking up any extra space.

This bicycle deck is a game changer for me – it helps me regain the same look and feel as it was when a pandemic began. If you are also looking for a device that helps you be more active when working from home, give this one a try.
