The hotel industry is currently facing a serious security problem with the pandemic. Planet site reports that Prestige Software, the company behind hotel booking platforms for Hotels.com, Booking.com and Expedia, has exposed data to “millions” of guests on Amazon Web Services’ S3 group. More than 10 million log files date back to 2013 and include name, credit card details, ID number and reservation details.
Not sure how long the data has been opened or if anyone got the data. Planet site said the vulnerability was closed a day after telling AWS about the release. Credibility confirms that it owns the data.
