TALLAHASSEE, Fla. Governor Ron DeSantis has declared a state of emergency for three counties in southwest Florida ahead of Tropical Storm Eta.
The Lee, Collier and Hendry counties are in that emergency. Governor DeSantis also includes Broward, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe and Palm Beach counties.
The Governor enacted this on Saturday for being very cautious about Tropical Storm Eta.
Attorney General Ashley Moody has also extended the Florida Price Hotline to include essential goods.
According to Moody, this emergency pricing law applies only in the areas listed in the executive order. It is also only for the items and services needed to prepare or recover from a storm.
Pricing laws regarding the COVID-19 emergency declaration remain in effect statewide for items related to the health crisis.
