Michigan Athletics School has reported four positive COVID-19 test results among athletes for the past week, the school announced Friday in a newsletter.
No staff test positive
The MSU conducted 71 COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests from October 29 to November 29, including 60 tests for athletes and 11 tests for personnel. tablets.
For individuals with a positive result, daily testing with the sports coach will continue while they are in quarantine, with additional services provided as directed by medical and administrative staff. It is necessary to further check and follow up with a doctor before returning to any exercise level.
Since June, MSU has performed at least 2,919 PCR tests for COVID-19 on athletes and staff. There were 148 positive cases from at least 2,468 trials involving athletes, and nine out of more than 451 trials involving staff.
