Florida’s total COVID-19 confirmed surpassed 532,800

The Florida Department of Health on Sunday confirmed 6,229 cases of COVID-19 supplementation, bringing the state’s known total to 532,806. There were also 77 reported Florida deaths, bringing the statewide death toll to 8,186.

It is not yet clear whether there have been any newly announced nonresident deaths. On Saturday, the number of non-resident deaths was 129.

During the pandemic, new confirmed cases reported on Sundays tended to be lower than other days of the week because fewer people worked in the lab and entered data on weekends.

Sunday also saw the lowest number of new confirmed deaths announced since Monday when 73 deaths were reported.
