After missing last week’s game against Kentucky, Georgia̵

7;s second widely accepted George Pickens is expected to come out again this week as the Bulldogs 5 vs Florida No. 8, according to The Atlanta-Constitution Magazine. Pickens is Georgia’s second most prolific scorer with 13 appearances within 140 yards and two touches this season.

Pickens’ absence with a upper body injury appeared much in the past week when the Bulldogs struggled in the game of pass in a 14-3 win in Kentucky. Georgia produced just 131 yards of passes, and its lead was James Cook, with four receptions. In total, midfielder Stetson Bennett IV only distributed four of his nine completions to in-game wide-format receivers without Pickens.

The former five-star prospect leads Georgia with 49 tackles within 727 yards and eight touches while earning a place in the All-SEC First Year Teams last season. Georgia’s ability to produce an effective game has been a concern this season after Wake Forest transfer midfielder Jamie Newman turned down the season.

Bennett, a former front-runner, knocked out the Bulldogs with a 4-1 start. But defeating a powerful Florida offense could require Georgia to keep the speed of attack. With Pickens gone, it could be another chance for Kearis Jackson to shine. Second year redshirt has been a bright spot for the Bulldogs this season. Having caught just five passes last season, he is leading the team in tackles and receiving yards with 24 tackles in 348 yards.
