There are many clusters of infections, including 5 separate restaurant clusters; however, each involves a few employees at individual locations and no line to the customer is identified at this time. An employee at Honolulu Hale is a potential source of transmission for 11 cases between City and Honolulu County workers.

State Health Director Dr Bruce Anderson said, “The key factor to keep in mind is, community-related infections continue to be responsible for the increase in COVID-19 cases during the week. and a half past. Viruses are transmitted through droplets, and that is why it’s so important to wear a mask and look away. We all must continue these and other safe practices ”. The Department is investigating these cases and working with these facilities on quarantine and preventive measures for their staff. There are no risks to the public at this time and no other circumstances apart from the worker. As more information becomes available, it will be shared.

Anderson also extended condolences to the families and friends of four O’ahu men; the latest victims of this disease. The deaths of two of the men, both over 60 years old, were reported on Tuesday, but as of today. The third and fourth deaths reported today were men 40-59 years old, at least one of them had an underlying health condition. Investigations of all the deaths are underway.
