Ping An, whose name translates roughly to “safe” (平安) in Chinese, is said to have walked for two weeks back to Qidong city, eastern China, to a place where wear can be understood. is heavier, but has recovered well, according to sources on social media.
The 1-year-old dog was found limping outside an office building on October 26 and is said to have been fed “meat cakes” and dog food. Rescuers took care of the wound immediately, mostly in her legs, then posted on social media in hopes of finding her owner.
While their home has been remodeled, Ping An̵7;s family intends to leave her with friends 62 miles away in Nantong for a few weeks, so she won’t be upset by the nagging construction. But after 4 months of separation, the family learned that their dog had disappeared from her makeshift home without a trace.
For weeks, families have been worried about Ping An’s whereabouts.
According to the Daily Mail, the poor puppy looked “quite depressed after he couldn’t find its owner,” the rescuers said.
“Ping An, you worked hard. You just need to stay home from now on. [We] will never kick you away, ”her owner said in a video shared in Chinese media.
The family also told reporters they would never allow Ping An to leave them again.
