Carlos Monarrez

With key players like Kenny Golladay and Trey Flowers, and Matthew Stafford’s condition uncertain after missing a week of training, there is too much adversity for the Lion to overtake on the road against the attacking player’s NFC of the week at Dalvin Cook. Choose: Vikings 27, Lions 17

Matthew Stafford will find his rhythm again and the Lions will win. That’s what they do after losing money. Lion 23, Vikings 20

As long as Matthew Stafford plays on Sunday, and all the signs are that it is happening, this must be an interesting game. In addition to the back home plot of Everson Griffen and Adrian Peterson, the Lions need a win to continue their playoffs, and they will try to get a win over rivals that have given them fit in past few years. The Vikings had some stark struggles this fall. They use a lot of rookies in the defense and have a mistake-prone quarterback. But they showed signs of life last week and there was one of the best NFL runners in Dalvin Cook. If the Lions can take control of Cook, there’s no reason they can’t win a third time in four matches. If they can’t, even with the next three winable matches against teams under .500, you can close the season close. Select: Lions 27, Vikings 21
