Bounties have always been one of the most important parts of the Destiny 2 player expansion preparation, but with the changes imminent as Beyond Light comes out, there are a few to keep in mind and some changes you can avoid.
The weeks leading up to the new Destiny 2 expansion have been busy and stressful for Guardians. Rushing to finish any last activity from the current season along with preparing for new content can be a noble task for any player.
With Beyond Light, preparing for the new expansion gets even more complicated. With areas of the game moved into Destiny Content Vault, many of the activities – and bonuses – that players previously available will no longer be able to access.
Beyond Light bonus changes
Prior to the launch of Beyond Light, Bungie addressed concerns around bounties and clarified how players can still use them while preparing for the new expansion pack and Season 13.
“Most of your bonuses won’t change, but any bonuses relating to specific Seasonal activities or DCV participation content will be removed on November 10,” confirmed the developer. “Any bonuses awarded for progression on Infamy / Valor can negatively affect your strong rewards, as they will be limited to the Strength Level of Next Season.”
Bungie also made it clear that Challenge Mode will work for raid race participants for Beyond Light, which is scheduled to begin with the release of the new Deep Stone Crypt raid on November 21 at 10 p.m. light (PST).
This means that for the first 24 hours after the version is released, the player’s strength will be limited to 20 levels below the recommended number per raid encounter. Spins the bounty at the beginning of Season 13 will help you level up your artifacts seasonally, but this won’t increase your overall strength level beyond the 20 level limit.
Any bonus to keep Beyond Light
Bungie’s comment on the bounties to keep when preparing Beyond Light really gives players a good idea of what they should avoid based on what gets removed.
Here is a list of all the bonuses you can ignore, followed by everything you should grasp if you’re planning on using them in your preparations for Beyond Light:
- Avoid bonuses associated with the following:
- Destinations: Mercury, Mars, Titan, Io, The Farm, The Leviathan
- Vendors: Ada-1, Benedict-66, Werner 99-40, Ana Bray, Sloane, Asher Mir, Brother Vance, Visage of Calus
- Crucible or Gambit / Gambit Prime (Shaxx and the Drifter)
- The bonus holdings are tied to the following:
- Destinations: EDZ, Nessus, Tangled Shore, Dreaming City, Moon (Lectern)
- Vanguard (Zavala)
- Gun smith (Banshee-44)
- Supplier: Eris Morn
Final preparations for Beyond Light
Bounties have always been an important part of the preparations for new Destiny 2 content, but Bungie seems to be avoiding that in the future.
“One of the plans we’ve previewed is that will eventually replace the weekly bounty with a new mechanism to provide players with a range of goals that do not expire and by account scope each week will Grants a lot of Season rank progress, ”the developer recently said. “We’re still working on that system and will share more about it before the targeted 13th release.”
It seems that Bungie has a lot to say about the bounty topic with the release of Season of the Hunt. For now, use the aforementioned bonuses to prepare for Beyond Light and keep an eye out for any updates from the Bungie team before the Beyond Light release turns on. November 10.
