Syracuse, NY – Two more Onondaga County residents died from the coronavirus, bringing the county’s death toll from the pandemic to 203.
The county says residents are male, one in their 80’s and the other in their 90’s, both with an underlying health condition.
The County also reported 18 new positive cases out of 3,628 test results it received as of Tuesday. Authorities were unable to source the 11 of these cases. Four cases were household contacts of previously confirmed cases, two related to tourism (Pennsylvania), and one from an upscale residence. Overall, there have been 3,480 positive cases in Onondaga County since the pandemic began.
16 people were hospitalized for the coronavirus today, unchanged from Tuesday. Three of them are in critical condition.
The county is tracking 118 active coronavirus cases, up 11 since Tuesday.
