The 60 kWh electric connection and cruise package will go on sale in the second half of 2021 and includes most of what is on that Blazer: 200 horsepower electric motor, 60 kWh battery pack, DC-to-electric inverter AC drives electric motors, DC to DC power converters provide power to other integrated systems (accessories such as radios and lights), controllers, harnesses and water pumps for heating and battery cooling.
Chevrolet Performance even certifies dealers and after-sales companies as installers of Electric Connect Cruise and Connect, ensuring that they will be properly trained and equipped to work on these kits. Michigan’s Lingenfelter Performance Engineering Company – as well as the fast Corvettes ̵1; will be the first to test the new certification program.
Although 200 hp is a fitting upgrade for older cars, GM also knows the customer base of its performance division (and SEMA, where virtual programming includes K5 Blazer-E revealed) . The company says it is evaluating the offering of additional high-performance eCrate packages as well as a new battery configuration. In addition, GM plans to supply eCrates to provide modular Ultium battery systems fitted to the new GMC Hummer EV.
So uh, does anyone have a Trabi with a dead engine lying around? I HAVE CONCEPT.
