Cardi B defended his decision to include Kylie Jenner in the feverish music video for her new single “WAP”.
The track features fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion and dances by Sukihana, Rubi Rose, Mulatto, Rosalía and Normani. It also features Jenner, 23, walking down the hallway in another scene.
After the video was cut, the Grammy Award winner received some backlash for asking Jenner to join the project.
PETITION URGES KYLIE JENNER REMOVED FROM CARDI B, MEGAN THEE STALLION MUSIC VIDEO
A fan on Twitter pointed out that while Normani was doing a series of choreography, Jenner merely walked around but was more widely talked about.
“Normani did ALL of this and Kylie walked down the hall and opened a door. If it̵7;s not a perfect visual indication of what black women have to do the most and white women do the minimum to get somewhere, then I don’t know what it is, “said the user.
Cardi responded to the criticism in a few tweets that have been deleted since being deleted, according to E! News.
“Normani is one of the best female dancers. Like she dances f – king a– off! Why did she open a door? Please tell me what that means.” “The best part of the song is the beat & hook it is something that makes you want to sway…,” she said. “Not everything is about race.”

Cardi further explained that she chose the makeup mogul and reality TV star in the video for other factors.
“Why did I include Kylie in my music video? She treats my sister [Hennessy] and daughter [Kulture] Her baby is so cute [Stormi‘s] bday party, “she said.
Rapper “Bodak Yellow” added that Jenner’s ex-lover, rapper Travis Scott and Cardi B’s husband, rapper Offset, were very “close” and Jenner’s mother, Kris Jenner, gave “advice on some things” when asked.
After another fan wrote, “Normani danced, that was her talent! Kylie strode like a model, that’s her talent! Human is just strange! And Cardi replied, “Exactly.”
Some fans were so nervous by Jenner’s appearance in the video that a petition was created on Change.org titled “Remove Kylie Jenner from the WAP video.”
“The video is perfect until we see K and I want to throw my phone,” the user petitioned to write on the website. Over the weekend, more than 47,900 people signed a petition seeking the 50,000-signature target.
