Treyarch has announced the integration plan Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War with Call of Duty: Warzone, and last year Modern warfare. While most of the announcements made by Treyarch have been hinted at, there’s one surprise: the Prestige system will return with Call of Duty.
Prestige is a system in Call of Duty that allows players to restart the leveling process once they’ve reached their maximum level in multiplayer. Although this system has been in most Call of Duty games released in the past 13 years, it is not in Modern warfare (2019) or Battlefield. But in Cold War of Black Ops, Treyarch is reviving the system with a bit of a change.
When the first season begins in December, player levels from all three active games in the series (Cold War of Black Ops, Modern warfareand Battlefield) will be reset to their levels, which are then merged as they begin to descend a new path known as the Seasonal Officer Process. Players will be able to gain progress in their level and Credibility in any of the three games, but Black Ops Cold War will have unique challenges that can help with rankings faster. These levels will be a new seasonal version of the Prestige system that allows players to unlock inherited and unique rewards.
Each new Seasonal Prestige Level will have four levels of Prestige a player can gain throughout the season, depending on the level they reach. For season 1, players will receive Credits first at level 50, where they will also unlock a special weapon blueprint, and then every 50 levels, until they unlock both. four Credits are available each season at level 200. After each season, your level will be reset and you will be able to restart the monetization and prestige levels.
Cold War of Black Ops There will also be a pre-season version of Prestige that will last from the game’s release on November 13, until the first installment begins in December. This initial credits should get players started. Progress through traditional military ranks, as they normally do in Call of Duty games, up to level 55. After level 55 players will jump into the Prestige system where they will reach Level Season levels all up to 100. Players will be able to earn three Credits in the preseason, starting with Prestige 1 at Level 1, followed by a blueprint and Credibility 2 on Level 50 and finally Prestige 3 at Level 100.
While this new Prestige system may include many changes to Call of Duty veterans, it would still be nice if this system returns in one form or another. Even better, Seasonal Prestige will give players what they’re always aiming for in Call of Duty games, instead of getting stuck at the limit like they are now.
Players can start making money Cold War of Black Ops Pre-season levels when the game launches on November 13, while the first Call of Duty mix is coming around December.
