The actress finished what fans of the 1993 hit movie “Hocus Pocus” were waiting for – a reunion!
And it is nothing epic.
Midler’s annual fundraising campaign, called Hulaween, brought together her former colleagues Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy, also known as the Sanderson Sisters. Friday night’s virtual event is because her nonprofit, the New York Restoration Project, works to restore gardens and parks in New York’s five counties.
The hour-long event is a fake documentary about the history of the Sanderson Sisters, with the stars telling about their own versions of their fake encounters with witches.
But that’s not all, many of the movie̵
7;s original stars like Thora Birch, who played Dani, and her on-screen brother, Omri Katz, showed up. Even Sarah Silverman, Martin Short, Kenan Thompson and Adam Lambert joined in the fun.Now let’s talk about the grand finale … Mariah Carey! We didn’t see that one came, but left it for Midler to remove our Halloween socks. Essentially, Carey told Midler to get lost in the end so she can move on from Halloween and shake hands at her favorite time of the year – Christmas. Viewers even heard her hit “All I Want For Christmas” when it put everyone on the credit.
This event definitely got us excited. Season is coming, ya will.
