Need a Chardonnay container paired with a toothpaste, battery and dog food? You will soon be able to deliver to your home, thanks to the support of BevMo – and its new owner.
On Thursday, the beverage chain announced that it had agreed to buy GoPuff, an online delivery company in Philadelphia, for $ 350 million.
The deal, which is expected to conclude within 30 days, will bring together a family name with 161 stores in the West and a rapidly growing emerging company without a California presence.
“The plan is to go to California,” said Yakir Gola, GoPuff’s co-founder and co-CEO, in an interview. “This is just a better, faster and strategic way for us to enter the market.”;
