The actor spent Thursday morning distributing blueberry cream biscuits to early voters in Brooklyn.
When people lined up in the rain, waiting to vote, Rudd waited with them, distributing cookies when the voters left the polling place.
Brian Rosenworcel, drummer of the Guster band, told CNN he was in line to vote at the Barclay Center as Rudd started handing over sweet gifts.
“I was standing in line and I thought Paul was just there to vote, but then he started giving cookies to the people in line,” Rosenworcel said. “And he waited to greet everyone as they left to say thank you for voting in the rain.”
Rosenworcel captured the moment on video and posted it on Twitter.
“I want to say thank you for going out to vote and do your part,” Rudd was heard saying, wearing a baseball cap and a face mask.
