Aaron Jones rerun is still restricted during Tuesday’s training session. He is also estimated to be a limited participant on Monday.
Coach Matt LaFleur said Jones’ condition for Thursday Night Football was still in the air.
“We’ll be in game time if Aaron can go or not,” LaFleur said Tuesday, via SI.com’s Bill Huber.
Jones has missed two games with a calf injury. He missed all of last week’s training sessions, so he is getting closer to a comeback. Will he play against 49ers?
The Packers need him with bringing AJ Dillon back to the COVID-19 reserve list after testing positive on Sunday. The Jamaal Williams rerun is also on the COVID-19 bench list as a close contact person.
Dillon and Williams combined for 21 shots to go for 96 yards instead of Jones in the defeat of Vikings.
That leaves the Packers with Dexter Williams and Tyler Ervin. Ervin (wrist) returned to full training on Tuesday.
“That’s what we have to work on,” said LaFleur. “They have been part of our system for over a year.”
The Packers upgraded Rick Wagner’s (knee) attack to Marcedes Lewis (knee) to be limited and tight.
David Bakhtiari (chest) and full-back Kevin King (quadriceps) was restricted.
