The Boston Celtics have been a champion candidate for many years now. They were recently eliminated in the Eastern Conference final by the Miami Heat in the bubble. Now, the focus will be on NBA Draft 2020.
For the fifth time in seven years, the Celtics will hold multiple first-round picks in the NBA Draft 2020. This is the third time in that time they have three. Danny Ainge built Boston using draft funds and this year, he can use it to swap out and get the player they need.
It̵7;s worth noting that the Celtics are reportedly looking to trade and are willing to pack their three round 1 picks to help create a potential deal, according to The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor.
It is unlikely that the Celtics would make all three options in the current position. They have plenty of room to find a big man or a center-back if they feel the need. This is the top heavyweight league and the Celtics are not in that top yet.
If they do decide to join the NBA Draft 2020, here are five prospects the Celtics could keep an eye on. They are different positions on the field that could help the team compete further next season.
