Editor’s Note: The daily numbers we report do not coincide with the numbers the state is reporting each day. (KWWL) ̵1; There are 4,249 new cases, confirmed from 10am Friday to 10am Saturday, according to state dashboard, bringing the total number of state cases to 148,391.
Of the 148,391 people who test positive, 100,346 have recovered from the disease, the state website says. This is 1,151 times more recovery than the state reported on Friday.
The number of positives in the state is 48,045. The positive rate over the past 24 hours is 49 percent.
The state is reporting 14 more deaths within this timeframe, bringing the state’s death toll to 1,829.
There were 165 patients hospitalized in Iowa in the past 24 hours and the total number of hospitalizations was 901, down from 912. Of those, 194 were in the ICU and 72 were on mechanical ventilation.
In Iowa, 8,649 new tests were given and a total of 1,021,858 people were tested for COVID-19.
BLACK HAWK DISTRICT
From 10am on Saturday, Black Hawk COVID-19 control panel is displaying new data at 10am on Friday. There were 181 additional positive cases out of a total of 7,875 cases in the county. 51 restores have been added, leaving a total of 4,770. One more person died, totaling 107 deaths. The 14-day average positive rate for the county is 22.6 percent.
According to the Linn County COVID-19 control panel at 10 a.m. on Saturday, there were a total of 7,775 active cases, 462 more than what the dashboard displayed on Friday morning. There were 36 additional recoveries reported, leaving a total of 4,603 restores. One more person died, totaling 147 deaths. There are currently 42 hospital admissions in the county. The 14-day average positive rate for the county is 19.9 percent.
According to the state control panel at 10 a.m. on Saturday, there have been 132 new positive cases reported in Johnson County as of 10 a.m. on Friday. This brings the total to 6,800 reported cases. There were 21 additional restores, leaving a total of 5,417 recoveries. A total of 49,436 was tested. There were no additional deaths, resulting in a total of 33 deaths. The 14-day average positive rate for the county is 13 percent.
According to the state control panel at 10 a.m. on Saturday, 170 new positive cases have been reported in Dubuque County as of 10 a.m. on Friday. This brings the total to 6,572 reported cases. There were 79 more recoveries reported for a total of 4,170. A total of 38,461 people were examined. There was one more death case, a total of 67 deaths. The 14-day average positive rate for the county is 21.7 percent.
